Surface Barrier Impregnator is a state of the art, water based flouropolymer impregnator that penetrates deep into the pores of marble, limestone, granite,onxy, tavertine, terazzo, flag stone, sandstone, slate, saltilo tile, terra cotta, quarry, cantera, unglazed ceramic, pavers, grount concrete, and masonary surfaces to prevent staining. Repels water, oil, grease, food stains, mold, and mildew. For indoor or outdoor use. Allows stone to breathe. Retains stone’s natural appearance. VOC compliant. Classified by UL® for slip resistance. Use Surfface Barrier on floors, kitchen counter tops, showers and tubs inside and outside on stone surrounds, terraces, balustrades, and swimming pool decks. Surface must be clean and dry before application of Surface Barrier. Make sure all wax and other coatings are removed, use a heavy duty stripper to make sure all are removed. It is recommended that for newly installed slab surfaces that application is delayed for 3 to 4 weeks. Make sure grout has cured 72 hours. Thorougly clean surface with Hurricane follwoing the directions. Let dry 12-24 hours. Apply in thin, even coats with sprayer, paint roller, or lambs wool applicator. Work in small areas, aggitate mildly with application tool. Allow to penatrate for 5-10 minutes. Re-apply and allow another 5-10 minuets for penetration. When full penetration is achieved, squeegee of any excess. Buff with white pad and move to next area to be treated. Can be walked on after one hour and cleaned after 48 hours. Covers 800-1000 squar feet on polished stone and 500-800 on non-polished stone. NOTE: more porous stone may recquire more product.
