Step 1: #196-4525 Dry Erase Basecoat is a white, flat finish, quick dry, waterborne acrylic, high hiding base coat for use under Waterborne Dry Erase Coating. It provides a high hiding, uniform base coat (can be tinted). The outstanding hiding properties help mask previous coatings and color variations. Exhibits good holdout and minimal grain raising properties. RECOMMENDED PRIMERS: Drywall, Plaster, Masonry, Wood and Galvanized: None. Ferrous Metal: #622-71, 72, 73 Defi-Rust Acrylic Metal Primer. RECOMMENDED APPLICATION: Brush, roller, spray or airless. PRACTICAL COVERAGE: 300-400 sq.ft./gal. (Depends on substrate texture and porosity). DRY TIMES: Tack free 30 minutes. To Topcoat 1 hour. Hard 18-24 hours. Available by the quart, 4-1 qt/cs, 1 gallon and 2-1 gal/cs.
